Bringing Big Ideas to Life in the Classroom
The Education Foundation for Waxahachie ISD awards innovative teaching grants that empower educators to create meaningful, engaging, and impactful learning experiences for their students.

Innovative Teaching Grants
Great ideas deserve the opportunity to grow.
Each year, the Education Foundation for Waxahachie ISD awards grants to teachers and staff who are ready to bring creative and innovative concepts into their classrooms. These grants are designed to go beyond traditional funding and support projects that inspire curiosity, improve learning outcomes, and help students excel both in the classroom and beyond.
Grants are awarded during the spring semester to individual teachers, grade-level teams, departments, and even entire campuses.
Since 1999, more than 150 innovative teaching grants totaling over $400,000 have been awarded, impacting thousands of students across Waxahachie ISD.

Supporting the Educators Who Make It All Possible
At the WISD Education Foundation, we believe that investing in our teachers and staff is just as important as investing in our students. Through staff scholarships, we help Waxahachie ISD educators continue their professional growth and pursue further education.
Beyond scholarships, the Foundation also provides grants and resources designed to equip teachers with the tools they need to go further in shaping young minds and creating meaningful learning experiences.
We also take time throughout the year to celebrate and honor the incredible people who show up every day for our students — because great schools are built by great people. From appreciation events to funding opportunities, the Foundation is committed to equipping and uplifting the staff who make Waxahachie ISD a place where students and teachers thrive together.
