Frankilou Jett Scholarships

 

In 2016, former WISD educator Frankilou Jett bequeathed her estate to the Education Foundation to start a scholarship fund for Waxahachie ISD students. The Frankilou Jett scholarship fund provides a minimum of $30,000 annually for the Education Foundation for Waxahachie ISD to distribute to graduating Waxahachie ISD seniors pursuing college, university, or technical/vocational education.

In 2017, the first annual Frankilou Jett Scholarships, totaling $30,000, were presented to fifteen deserving members of the class of 2017. Since then, the Foundation has given more than $250,000 in Jett scholarships to Waxahachie ISD seniors. 

The Foundation is proud to continue Mrs. Jett’s legacy of educating the children of our community.
